The most noteworthy extra on the DVD version of Getting It at the Rave is the 22-minute "Naked Porn Star" Interview featurette. There's quite a bit of nudity, but it's not very titillating. However, it is enlightening, offering a revealing look at the mechanics of shooting a porn video. And some of the moments captured in this short subject (pardon the phrase) documentary are amusingly candid. For instance, we get to see the irrepressible Hans Ebson as he tries to talk Zachary Scott into giving him a free blowjob. Zachary declines since he's not getting paid to do it.
    You also get a slideshow with 20 production stills. These images are a bit on the smallish side though. There's a chapter index, but it only breaks down this 80-minute movie into four separate parts, which means you'll have to do a lot of scanning to get to your favorite scenes.
    The movie itself is a winner. I'm not really a fan of twinks in general, but there's something about Billy Brandt that really wets my whistle. Those lips! Those eyes! That gravity defying bubble butt! Mm-mm-mm!
    Phil St. John has replaced the valley boys of his original Getting It with raver boys in this updated version, but he's kept parts of the original score and Jim Bentley's checkered canvas shoes. Even though most of the main plot points remain intact, there are quite a few notable differences between this version and the original. Taboo topics, such as rape, forced bondage, and brother-to-brother incest have been toned down or omitted entirely. Of course, there's no barebacking or oral cum shots--for obvious reasons. (Although some of the guys in this one do eat their own cum.)
    Hans Ebson has the Jim Bentley role. He plays a closeted German exchange student who develops a crush on his straight acting friend Billy. We know this because of the wet dream that opens the movie. While attending a rave, an orgy ensues, and Hans and Billy take their friendship to the next level.
    Mark Slade and Brock Hensley recreate the van scene from the first movie with Hans. Like Bentley, Hans balks at sucking dick. Brock ends up taking a double penetration from Hans and his massively hung co-star Slade.
    Chris Young is a cute, young twink who gets more than he bargained for when he goes down on the bartender (Bobby Golden) behind the counter. He ends up taking it at both ends during an extended gang bang sequence.
    When Brian Archer comes on to Billy in the bathroom, his advances are rebuffed initially, but ultimately it pays off. Brian gets to rim Billy's beautiful ass, and Billy rewards him with a blowjob.

    As the orgy continues, Chris Young takes a double penetration from Michael Brandon and the bartender. Brandon wears psychotic harlequin makeup similar to Daryl Hannah's at the end of Blade Runner.

    The ending bears only a slight resemblance to the original, but it's still pretty hot. We find Hans tied up with ropes in his candlelit bedroom. Billy feeds him his cock, then they get into a 69. Billy howls like a maniac when Hans eats his ass. The Billy Brandt character gets fucked in the original version, but Billy holds on to his anal virginity this time around. (Come on, Billy.     Overall, this is a solid production with a hot cast and topnotch production values. And the rave set, which was built on a sound stage, looks really cool.
